Every UNINSPIRED hoodie has a QR code woven into the wrist.
Not printed. Not ironed on. Woven — directly into the fabric, so it doesn't wash out, crack, or peel. It's part of the garment.
When you scan it with your phone camera, you unlock an augmented reality experience: a hidden message that appears in your space, layered over the real world. The message rotates daily. What it says today won't be what it says tomorrow.
This is what we built. Here's why.
What Augmented Reality Clothing Actually Is
Augmented reality clothing — real augmented reality clothing, not virtual try-on — is clothing that carries a digital layer. Something beyond the physical garment that gets unlocked through technology.
Most of what gets called "AR fashion" is virtual try-on: apps that let you see how a jacket might look on you before you buy it. That's useful technology. It's not what UNINSPIRED is doing.
What UNINSPIRED is doing is different. The AR isn't a shopping feature. It's part of the design. The physical garment says something. The hidden layer — the AR reveal — says something more. The two exist in relationship to each other. You don't need the AR to wear the hoodie. But you'd be missing something if you never scanned.
Why a QR Code Woven Into the Sleeve
The placement is intentional. The wrist is where you check your pulse. Where you wear things that mean something — bracelets, tattoos, marks. Intimate. Personal. The part of you that's always visible but usually goes unexamined.
Putting the QR code at the wrist means the portal is always there, on the body, in a place that already carries meaning. It requires intention to access. You have to choose to scan. That act of choosing — lifting the sleeve, pointing the camera, waiting for the reveal — is part of the experience. A small ritual. A private moment between the person wearing the hoodie and whatever the hoodie has to say.
The Hidden Message
The AR reveal is a hidden message. Not a product page. Not a discount code. Not a brand statement. A message — something for the person wearing it, not for anyone else. The messages rotate daily. The same garment, different moment, different message. Clothing that keeps talking.
Why This Instead of Everything Else
There are easier ways to build a streetwear brand. Print a graphic, sell the hoodie, repeat. We built the AR layer because the thing UNINSPIRED is actually about — emotional honesty, the things people don't say out loud — can't be contained in a single word. The design on the front gets you in the door. The hidden message is the room inside.
Every UNINSPIRED hoodie is hiding something. The question is whether you scan.
